Your first event

Visit your own site once. Within a few seconds a page view appears on the Overview and in the Events list. Then send a custom event with one line of code.

See a page view

1. Open your site in a browser, on one of the project's allowed domains.
2. In Eventfox, open the project and look at Events. A Live indicator shows new events as they arrive.
3. Click a row to open its details: the page path, the referrer's domain, browser, device and country.

If nothing appears after a minute, check the allowed domains and the key in Add the script to your site.

Send a custom event

In the browser, after the script has loaded:

window.eventfox.track("signup_completed", { plan: "pro" });

The event name is 1 to 200 characters. Properties are optional. Visit the page that runs the line, then open Events and filter by the event name.

What shows up on the Overview

The Overview counts visitors, sessions, page views and events for the range you choose, draws them as a chart, and lists top pages, sources and custom events. In Privacy mode it counts sessions instead of visitors, and shows countries only.
